I figured Ron O would be in for an early round stab with some self promotion thrown in.  Do you scan the webs daily for any mention of JB so you can exploit a new opportunity to bash? PS: I've enjoyed the routes of yours that I've done.

This would make so much sense.

Most likely correct. Homophobic? I could care less, just pointing out the obvious

In response to me noting your favorite website you said, "Friday night, going through dudes profiles on the internet!"

thinly veiled hypocrisy?

Okay then, name the Beyer routes that YOU repeated. How were they? Share details please.

If it takes you 18 minutes to read 4 pages of MP you would probably die on a Beyer route. Or die trying to figure out how to breathe.....

I feel cool that I did Phantom Sprint.  Probably one of JB's most pedestrian routes and for a change the easiest route to the top.  Excellent and obvious line.  I think he's an interesting case study.

You are the one who chose to die on this hill, not me. I didn't say one negative thing about Beyer, except bringing attention to his own post where he brags about sociopathic and most likely criminal behavior. So, I and, I assume others, are trying to figure out why you are a such an acolyte of this guy.

So you read something on the internet about someone and now the mob should lynch huh? Apparently the mob rules here and i must enjoy cock for pointing that out!

Of course if anyone knew him just a tiny bit theyd know he says shit to get under people's skin and it certainly worked this time. It would seem that people with half a brain could see that a dude who climbs solo in remote areas on choss all the time isnt climbing for anyone but himself, certainly he's not climbing for mountain project points or likes.

If I climb a hard aid route after rising from the dead, does that make it A7?   Asking for a friend.

Uh, no. Referring to Beyer's own bragging, posted by himself on this site and SuperTopo about running down a female mountain biker with his vehicle just for fun.  Even if he made it up, it is a pretty fucked up story to be proud of.

OP question was, "anybody repeat Jim Beyer’s routes?".

Go do Word's End on the Titan or Death of American Democracy on the Kingfisher and get back to me with what you think. Both of these routes are the BEST ones on either formation.

Again, the OP was asking about his routes...not his personality, astrological sign, or political leanings.

^^This.  This why Mountain Project is becoming intolerable.  The OP asked for feedback from people who climbed Jim Beyer's routes.  Only a couple of the posts from this 5 pages of drivel are from people who CLIMBED HIS ROUTES.

My big problem with Mountain project is not that people have offensive posts and opinions.  It's that certain small group of people who feel the need to weigh in with their opinion on every single damn discussion, then proceed to get into arguments with each other over said opinions, while adding nothing of value to the original topic.

Already said schmuck, nobody here has. Details are this- attacking people on the internet is fucking lame. Didn't your momma teach you manners?

No dude, what is fucking lame is people who have never done a big wall in their lives chiming in about a topic they know absolutely nothing about like you.

As an active ASCA re-bolter, experienced big wall climber, former Access Fund representative for Yosemite and person replacing bolts in Yosemite today I told you precisely why the self-promoting Beyer doesn't get his routes repeated.

He is a vandal of other people's historic routes and is putting up shitty routes and inflates their grades. That this thread even exists is testimony to his self promotion and success in garnering attention to himself.

World Class big wall climbers like Richard Jensen and Kevin Deweese have chimed in or been quoted saying that his routes are over rated garbage with trenched heads, drilled bat hook holes avoiding natural features and many shenanigans done to hide his methods.

THAT is why people here haven't done his "routes" because there is nothing to recommend them.

Look at the topo for "Hamas Fights for Freedom" which he claims is a 21 pitch "route". In reality it looks to be about 4 pitches of bat hooks and rivets connecting existing routes.

People are tired of his act in Yosemite. He's a bad actor who endangers access for all climbers and the more people that realize that the better.
