Work is slow, so I get to go BABY! I've got the month of August off and am wanting to climb some multipitch stuff, fly-fish a bit, maybe mountain bike. I'm thinking of heading to Glacier the first week (or two) of august, depending on objectives. Then, maybe head down to Castle rocks SP for the festival on the 15th. Last week/10days should be either the Grand or..pingora/wolfs head. Anyone want to chime in with beta, must-do's, off the beaten path gems, or general places for a great time? I'd be grateful. Also would be a pretty decent compadre' for a partner -have a workable trad rack, (2) 70m ropes, a slew of seriously questionable jokes to repell unwanted attention, and am generally laid-back but fully capable in pinch situations. ...my airbnb reveiws are solid.. "....one of a kind." ..."...cleans up well.." "..a very energetic experience..". (that last one IS questionable.. no idea where that reference came from..)

Hmmmm ..."cleans up well", eh?
I don't have much to offer, but maybe this bump will help.
Southern Idaho will be hot, maybe smoky, maybe thunderstormy, but hey, I'm expecting to have a good time at the Idaho Mountain Fest anyway. City/Castle is doable in warm weather and some one else cooking is a huge plus!
Dunno how serious you are about fly fishing, but Silver Creek, up towards Sun Valley, has a bit of a reputation. Harriman state park, Island Park area, maybe, on the way to/from?
And, yeah, super hot, but if you've never been to Craters of the Moon it's not way out of the way. Neither are the Fins, or a quick peek at the Lost River range, remote and beautiful, my favorite mountains here, honestly.
Best to ya! Old Lady H will be pretty easy to spot at the IMF, so say howdy, if you go!

Southeast buttress of pingora and east ridge of wolf’s head are the best climbs I have ever done! I’m looking for a partner in the tetons july 31-aug 1 if your itinerary changes. Looking to get on the grand via the os or exum car to car.

Shoot, i'm going to bozeman early in the month on the way up to glacier, so cant make that. I have heard that (and drooled over the pics of) pingora / wolfs head should be bucket list, so those are planned on the way back from Tetons last week Aug. Thanks for the ping though, hope you catch up with someone.
