I've found the Prana Vaha to be really comfy and durable but they aren't exactly cheap. I personally find jeans super uncomfortable in general but if you don't mind them it'd probably be a good option for you. |

I read 'climbing partners that don't fall apart' and was intrigued. Then disappointed. |

Bangood.com makes these cheap pants that are very durable 30$ been using them for 4 years now, I know 30$ no way they could be good, they are great!! I thrash them and they just keep on going. Not the best looking but super stretchy and won't develop holes. Well made double stitched everywhere, YKK sippers. Many colors to choose from. Shipped fast. |

You could solve your problem by not climbing in any pants at all. |

Marc-Olivier Chabot wrote: Everyone that have Kailas pants give me the same feedback. They like their durability. Kailas did not use home made cheap nylon fabric. They use Cordura fabric on most of their clothing and it's well know for their durability. All kailas product are expansive but I have put them in sale 50-70% off at Verti Call. You should give them a try. I actually had a different experience with my Kailas pants; the fabric itself is durable, but the pocket design on the 9A is terrible and the entire thing plus zipper was detaching itself from the rest of the pants. This happened on both sides, and there's really no way to repair it on my own as I don't think the thin fabric would hold up to stitching very well (hence why they used whatever tape they originally used)... shame, because I like everything else about them. null |

Montane Terra pants. Bombproof on granite slab cheese grater falls. |

Steve Shen wrote: I think Kailas had an issue with the glue years ago cause I had the same problem with the glue fabric. When did you buy the pant? It's probably an old model from 2012-2014 like the one I had. The 9a serie pants did not have any zippered pocket except the new 9a Onsight and is not glued. This pant is defenitively not a 9a for me. I don't know wich model is it. You should choose any 9a, El Capitan Pro or the old Blue Magic with the large waistband. You should not have any problem with them. |

I have tried Montane Terra trousers in the past, but they only have a minimal amount of stretch, so unless they fit you perfectly, they do restrict your movement. A much better option are the Rab Torque trousers: same reinforced lower leg as the Terra, but with much stretchier fabric all around. I've been using mine for scrambling and climbing for 2 years now. Apart from one small nick where they got caught on a grit crystal, they're as good as new. |

Guys, I'm working on it. |

I don’t know if they make them anymore but I have two pairs of the Mountain Hardwear Piero pants and they are bombproof. Stretchy canvas, not too stiff but not too soft. I did get a tailor to narrow the ankle a bit because it was too wide and I couldn’t see my feet. But they are going strong for 10+ years now so totally worth it!! |
