Has anyone done a Summit Climb trip or climbed with Dan Mazur? What was your experience like?

If I were shopping around, I'd look at their track record including fatalities and cancelled climbs. Might not be mentioned on their web-site.
I know no one is perfect, but perfectly honest can be strived for!

Peter that’s what I’m doing here. How else do I look at their track record? Google doesn’t have it.

Indeed, google gets clogged with 'news' and miscellany.
Perhaps try adding keywords like 'fatality' and 'cancel'? (Grim, but realistic.)
And I just noticed AlanArnette.com has a search function -- try 'SummitClimb' or any other company's name there. (I saw them mentioned this spring there -- perhaps confirm news directly with the leader.)
Lastly, I'm new to this forum, and don't know if there is a way to connect directly -- without me posting my phone number or email here?
I tackled big mountains in the 1980s-1990s, but much still applies!

I have not climbed with Dan Mazur, but in 2014 I did an East African trip with Summit Climb. This was organized by his German associate, Felix Berg. I did a technical ascent of Mt. Kenya (Nelion summit), as well as the subsidiary peak Point John and the hiking summit Point Lenana, followed by an ascent of Kilimanjaro by the Western Breach route. This trip was well organized and very successful, and would recommend Felix as a guide and trip leader. The price was reasonable, but I did not feel that there was any skimping on safety or support. I don't know if this applies to their Himalayan operations.

I have climbed directly with Dan and Summitclimb in Nepal back in '15. I returned to Nepal in '17 to climb with Summitclimb on another trip. Overall both trips were great. They really take care of you both in KTM and while on the trek/climb.
I'll admit Dan can come off as a bit odd or nonconcerning at times and sometimes the details are a bit sketchy but while on the the mtn & climb he is 100% together and knows his shit. I would trust Dan as my guide on any mtn. in the world. I think the details or sometimes what seems like lack of them comes from his knowledge of Nepal and how things work there. Things are different there and you as a visitor end up having to adjust to Nepal time.
If you google him you'll find out he's been in a couple rescues on or near Everest. On the mtn he is 100 focused and will do anything for anyone in need.

Well said about 'Nepal time' -- a concept which applies to other places, too.
On expeditions, I always urged my teammates (groups of capable friends+acquaintances, no guides, no high-altitude porters) to all be individually responsible, and trying to contribute to overall safety and success. That way, as the inevitable delays and confusions happen, people (usually) responsibly pitch in, and we all manage better.
The more you understand (and help with) the less chaos/frustration you'll experience. (If you want to be taken care of meticulously, that's a different outing.)
Good, safe climbing all, -Peter
