So the leather moccs had the tearing issue which kinda sucks, but asides from that I don't understand why adidas gets all the hate? I have multiple pairs of 5.10/adidas shoes and haven't had any problems. Personally, they fit my feet great and the stealth rubber (a bit overhyped IMO) performs comparable to the vibram stuff. No complaints from me.

No complaints from me. People think Addidas is a big, mean, evil company so they pretend their product sucks. I've had 3 pairs of Addidas 5.10s so far and quality + durability has been top notch and utterly consistent on each. Plus people buy shoes that don't fit their feet and then complain when misfitted shoes aren't durable.
As for OP, Vapors and Mocs fit very differently in my experience. Wear the one that fits better.

Vapor Vs fit just right. I have a slightly narrow foot and heal. The Mocc. always felt too wide. Also seems to me that they have different strengths as far as what they're good at. Personally I like the bit stiffer VV.

Every pair of 5.10s I have bought have fallen apart in short order. Maybe I'm just rough on shoes....

If you're training in the gym all the feet are massive, my phillosophy is to get the absolute softest shoe that I can climb in. Then when you have to dime edge on real rock your feet (arch) is strong enough to do it on extended pitches with a softer and more sensitive shoe. You do not need the support of the vapor v at all in the gym. Go with the mocc, or preferably something even softer (teams).

Both great shoes with distinct applications- you should buy them both so you can train at your best for peak performance. Put them on a credit card if you don't have the money!
