Up to $800 is duty free. Certain stuff like tents are duty free regardless price, though this is very item-specific. I’ve bought stuff from many different Euro and Japanese sites over the years, and I’ve never had a problem, and shipping costs are usually reasonable and quoted before finalizing the purchase. Some sites like telemark-pyrenees deliver to me on the east coast faster than some US sites |
