Will be in Ouray the last week of March. Anyone have on the ground info on the current conditions in the ice park?

I was there at the end of February and the ice park was in good shape. No running water, everything very solid. I think the whole gorge was open. They were predicting they would not close until April.

Backcountry routes were fat but had lots of snow slogs on approach or between pitches.

I think you should be good. If it happens to warm up when you go, you can probably still climb in the park...it's just gonna be wet and the routes might be getting picked pretty thin by then.

Was there this past weekend. Most of the park is closed but Schoolroom and the upper bridge wall (right under the office) are still solid.

You can try posting in the Colorado Ice conditions facebook page, it's likely there are some people down there.

Thank you for your help guys.
