Microfractures are real

I can't believe people still propagate the deadly idea that microfractures aren't real. Spreading such blatant lies is gonna get somebody killed eventually. This bolt hanger clearly has microfractures. If it was on the first bolt then somebody could have gotten seriously injured

This carabiner too!

And even this cam has microfractures in the axle housing

With so many examples of microfractures in a wide range of climbing gear, we really ought to be teaching people to retire their gear. I mean how much is 10 bucks for a new biner compared to the value of your life?

Those are “fractures” and are all clearly visible.

“Microfractures” are supposed to be invisible.

The first best time to delete this post was right after you posted it. The second best time is now.

Bro... Those are definitely just fractures. Nothing micro about a hanger that's essentially in two pieces.

I don't know, Eli. Your post looks suspiciously like the photo in this one:

Send me your gear and I'll personally test every piece for microfractures. Just want to make sure it's safe.

It's called a meme, Frank, L2 internet. And for the rest of y'all, this is bordering on gross negligence and you all should be held liable for lying to innocent MP newbies who don't know any better. It's only a matter of time before somebody gets hurt.

For some people who post here the 10 bucks is the better deal.

America is the only country where a significant proportion of the population believes that professional wrestling is real but the moon landing was faked.

Tell me (with evidence) who is injured or dead due to these microfractures, that will help me listen with more interest.

Didn’t a climber die due to his harness failing from micro fractures caused by a PAS?

You're a microfracture

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
