I got the same email.

Pretty good news. The Vergo was the best for lead belaying of all devices I have used.

Yup, I got two emails both to the same address so at least their QA for internet communication is on par with their QA for hardware.

I asked about updates on the Vergo since it's been a couple months since we've heard anything. Here's the response.

Bad customer service is not an indication of bad production quality. Hell, most of the time, good production quality comes at the expense of good customer service.

Did anyone hear anything from Trango?  
I emailed Trango rep who used to reply within a few days couple of weeks ago, but nothing came back. He could be travelling, or having fun times not responding to emails, but ....

Yeah I haven't checked in since the last time when he told me they were making a big announcement in a week. 

Super dumb. I feel bad for the guy since it's not his fault this thing has been such a pain, but it's also really ridiculous at this point. 

Is it too late to send in the device for a refund? I've moved on.

Just got the email from Trango that they have finished the initial production run and are planning to ship in January.

Did everyone get this email? I didn't but I've had trouble getting them to switch my info over from the old email I had two years ago when I first returned my vergo. 

I got the e-mail, here is the text:

"Dear Trango Customer,
I wanted to reach out personally with an update regarding the status of the Vergo and its return to market. The Vergo remains a priority for Trango and has been throughout the review process.
As we have worked through the review of the device, we have not had hard dates to share about the release date until now. Therefore, we offered limited communication to avoid sharing misinformation. I want to personally apologize for the lack of communication.  
The cornerstone of the redesign and review process was to not rush through any stage and to not release the updated device until it meet our quality standards. We have taken every step necessary to ensure that the device meets all quality and safety standards. We engaged in a comprehensive audit of the entire production process, from raw materials, to factories, to finishing, to assembly, and quality control procedures.
We now have the first small batch of newly produced units in house! We are awaiting to receive additional units prior to shipping your Vergo. The current expectation is they will ship in January.
Thank you for your patience and for your continued faith in the Vergo."

I did like the device more than a Gri Gri so I'm looking forward to getting it back.

Got email notification that Vergo is shipping today.

Just a heads up, check your shipping address in the email. Mine was set to go out to my previous address. I had told them about my change of address, but it must not have made it into the system.
