i love prana zion stretch pants but i found i broke several zippers on the side pocket with my phone (galaxy s8).  maybe i'm just an ogre :)  I put it in my front pocket but that is less than ideal.  i like a few of the ideas here i see for the tufa chalk bag or some of the pouches you can hang from your harness.  i like having my phone with me for photos.  there is full service where i climb so it can be useful to have for multiple reasons.

I have an Iphone 7s Plus and it doesn't get in the way in my front pocket.  Never had it fall.

I like this item as well. I keep a tibloc ascender, a Prussic cord, a lighter, and a small knife in there at all times. I can easily add my iPhone 5 and a few snacks. I don’t use this at the sport crag, but for long routes it’s great.

Comms be damned. Keep your phone in the trunk of your car/truck. When you climb outdoors...disconnect.

No way! I heard from a reputable Supreme Court Justice that boofing is just farting.

It looks like the running belts would be a good strap for the chalk bag.  I am very tempted to try that.  Also good point about using a cheap watch for timekeeping.

For those suggesting running belts, Ailero makes some cool products. Unfortunately, looks like they are all sold out right now. (Disclaimer: I have not used these products but saw them in a local shop a few months ago. Definitely worth checking out.)

Thanks Floyd. I was just being facetious.

Had herd in the past they can ping your phone even while off.  Guess you have to remove the battery and ditch the phone all together if your running from the law.
Very interesting link by the way.  Thanks for posting.
