I've seen all the notices that starting 10/15 we'll be able to use recreation.gov to get campsites at the RR campground, but I haven't seen anything but the group sites and the handicap sites.  Anybody get a different response when trying?

I got the same thing. I made a few phone calls and learned that the system will start accepting online reservations on Jan. 1, 2019.

Odd. This BLM site still has the Oct 15 date for system activation:

https://www.blm.gov/press-release/red-rock-canyon-campground-single-sites-move-national-reservation-system
“Beginning October 15, 2018, Red Rock Canyon Campsite reservations for camping dates from January 1, 2019, and beyond can be made at recreation.gov, or by calling the national reservation hotline 1-877-444-677.”

will they still have walk in sites or am I going to be living at the albertsons?

Camp host told me the walk in sites will remain and not be reservable.

Will there be any first come first serve sites still or is it 100% reservation only now?

I was told that only the walk in sites would be fcfs

To make reservations for the Red Rock campground? All I can see is the group sites and the accessible sites.

Sorry, my mistake. I missed that those individual sites were the handicap accessible ones.

MP needs to expand to manage the BLM’s web presence.  The BLM seems to be in need of help in this area.
