Pete Spri wrote: On i read it. It's fact that more Mvas are happening with people with pot in their system. That is fact. You realize that THC can remain in the body and test positive long after any impairment has vanished - up to 30 days. The fact you quote is irrelevant. |

You folks should get back to the original post of police using illegal, or shady practices to stop and search people who might be carrying, or not.. |

Dylan B. wrote: Oh cool. They obeyed the law by not really setting up a check point, but in return set up a sting. Basically they can make up any thing they want to justify pulling you over, be it you didn’t come to a complete stop, your window is tinted too dark, etc, etc.. I don’t think people should drive high, transport over state lines, etc. I do believe we need checks and balances. This is the same type of crap that minority’s face daily in their home town.I’m not hating on the law. They can be great people, and perform miracles given what they take on during a shift on the job, but we can not have overstepping of things. Remember some police forces are crooked. I even recall a town who fired the entire police force. |

Here's a great example of police abuse of civil rights under the war on drugs. |

Just to be clear, I couldn’t tell whose patrol cars were at the scene performing the checks, CO or UT. I guess under the contex they were performed it doesn’t really matter. |

Tim Lutz wrote: In Seattle and we had a State Patrolman (fat) chase down a hit and run suspect (obese) on foot. The trooper kept updating location out of breath every once in a while, but it seemed weird the locations weren't that far from the original call. We arrived to see the guy constantly out-shuffling/waddling the trooper by a foot or two as the trooper kept trying to grab him. Neither could run, just slowly shuffle. They had EMS respond for both of them... |

Greg Dwrote: Just remember, without probable cause they will ask your permission to search your car. Some people say “well I have nothing to hide” or “if I say no, then they will think I’m guilty of something”. The correct answer every time when they ask to search your car is “no thank you”. I got pulled over once and was asked about firearms. I replied “do you suspect I have firearms?” After his nonconfirmation I said, “oh, so your just bored and looking for something to do?” He replied “have a good day.” |
