TC Pro sizing?

• If I wear a size 40 solutions is it a safe bet that I would wear a size 40 TC Pro? One would think its obvious same brand same sizing but I want to double check because I can't return them after they're ordered. Anyone climb solutions and TC's notice any sizing difference or do they break in and loosen excessively or anything that would give me reason to get a different size?

I’d order a half size up if you want to do any type of crack climbing in them. 

Same brand doesn’t mean they’ll fit the same. Constructed on different lasts. I have three pair of LS all different sizes. Buried here on MP are multiple threads on TC Pro sizing. I’m sure if you search you’ll find the threads - or get lucky and someone has the two shoes you have.

I sized mine like my old Kaukulators which I found that info on one of these threads. Katanas and Mythos are my others.

Why don't you order them from REI, or somewhere you can return them, if they don't fit?

...he’s probably getting a pro deal and they can’t be returned.

Or just stop by REI and try them on - our local one at least carried TC Pros when I got mine. Can't hurt to call and actually put them on your feet.

For me, the nearest REI is two hours away. So it can be more convenient to just have them shipped (and ship them back, if needed). But yeah, trying them on before you buy them is optimal.

Ah that's unlucky - we've got 3 within 45 minutes here in Raleigh - I forget not all places are overcrowded and packed full of big box stores.

Thanks guys I'll look for those threads. But yea can't return pro deals... I guess I could go to rei and try them on I didn't want to go to my local shop and try them on just to walk out and buy them elsewhere but that doesn't really matter at rei. 

I usually wear a 42 in la Sportiva and I’ve had many models over the years but my Tc pros fit perfect in a 41.5.  As a reference my feet measure as 9.5 but I often wear a size 10 Street shoe for comfort so I feel they run a little large

39.5 (very tight performance) or 40 (snug performance skwama and testarossa
42 street shoe

Had 40.5 tc pro and after break in my big toe still had the slightest knuckle. I pushed the rand out past the end of the sole and actually wore a pinhole in the tip, which I have not done in any other shoe. I would do 41 if I were getting them again.

44 Solutions, 46 TC Pros.  No, I would not ever wear the same size TCs as Solutions, they are much stiffer and would probably kill my feet.  That’s my all day/crack size, I think for general use/performance a 45 or maybe 44.5 would do the trick.

45 TC Pro's (tight at first, stretched, now wear-all-day), 44.5 in Otaki's (more performance not-all-day fit), size 46/12 street shoe.

My TC Pros are 41 and my Muira VS and Otakis are both 40.5. I am very happy with this sizing arrangement. Can't comment on the Solution sizing.

 Those massive shopping centers are technically in Raleigh. Chapel Hill doesn’t allow big box stores. Therefore you have that big highway with those big box stores 

FWIW:  I wear 40.5 in pretty much all LS shoes including TC Pro (comfortable flat toes), Solution (pretty painful), Testarossa (perfectly tight), and Miura VS.  My street shoe is US 9.

Except for that little Mom and Pop store Walmart. Also Lowes and Staples and a mall that are in Chapel Hill :-)

Maybe you're thinking of Carrboro? I lived there too and it's right between the country and Chapel Hill which doesn't have any big box stores. Most people just think it's part of Chapel Hill and it pretty much is.

I dont know the answer to your question but I bought a second pair of TC Pros recently - same size as my first - but when they came they are significantly larger...anyone else seen this?
