I prefer the air flow shorts give me when I have the bust out the big nuts. Seriously I never wear pants unless its cold. If you’re having that much of a struggle perhaps capris would best suit your tradding adventures.

Trad, Sport, boulder, doesn't matter. Wear clothes to send, based on weather, rock type. Pants for full pitches aid (or mostly aid) and the right ones for wide cracks if it's not scorching...

Sorry, gents, I am not as good at admiring your awesomeness as I should be....I always end up studying the rock/rack....climbing, not body parts! Judging from the tanline, though, I'd say his vote would be shorts.

Cheesegrate on new england granite once and you'll never climb in shorts again.
Some say there are routes you can just follow the blood trail. I've yet to encounter something that dramatic.

Purely a budget question. Skin grows back, pants don't.

Hawaiian shirt + shorts has been my winning combo for summer alpine rock climbs
