Hey all, Im moving to France in late Augest and was hoping to get to Europe a few months early to travel around and climb. I am looking for people to meet up with and show me their local crags. Mainly looking for single pitch sport climbing, still in the process of learning trad. Let me know if this fits you, I'm flexible to the location. Just somewhere that won't be too hot in the later part of the summer!

Hi Raelyn,

I'm gonna be scooting about the Alps/dolomites in a yet-to-be-bought-but-hopefully-non-creepy van. I'm from the UK so no local knowledge to be found in me but happy to meet up for a few days if schedules and plans align. I'm also a trad novice, climb around high 5.11 sport outdoors.

Hello,

I will be in southern switzerland and chamonix area in early august if you are interested in climbing. I have a guide book for southern Switzerland and Chamonix. I'd like to do a few moderate trad routes in chamonix, but I mostly do sport. I'm looking for people to climb with so if you or @tom are in the area let me know! I land in Geneva august 1st.

@Mark; sounds good man, my itinerary for August is pretty blank so happy to do whatever really. I do want to hit this italian crack venue though if the weather isnt too hot: https://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/destinations/cadarese_-_italian_granite_cracks-4915

Whats the best way to keep in touch? I'm happy to connect via whatsapp/facebook/emails or whatever; I find forums awkward to use on a mobile.

@Mark @Tom,

Dang this gets me so stoked! I would love to take you both up on your offers. I am going to be in Slovakia for most of July but would love to get something in the works for August or the first part of July. Are you both on Whatapp? I can get a group going to throw out ideas an such. I am open mostly to anything, just pumped to see the climbing seen in Europe.

Hi Rae, I'm going to be around France, Italy, and Switzerland July 3-17. I'm flexible in terms of location and just want to get out there before heading back to the US. Let me know if you'll have some time to climb during this period.

Hey Rae,

I'll be back home in the Czech Republic for the first half of summer and would love to climb in central/Eastern Europe as much as possible. Thinking about checking out Bulgaria or the Tatras in Poland and Slovakia. Particularly between 28 June - 11 July. Let me know if anything matches your schedule/plans.

Hi Everyone,
I'll be in Venice June 16-August 10.  I'll have to work Mon-Thurs, but I'll be off every Friday-Sunday, in theory.  Consider me for the Dolomiti!

Hello! I’ll be in the Dolomites July 26th- August 27th! I need partners! At this point, I’m flexible with plans. I’m looking to cover as much of the region as possible and am looking to climb, Via Ferrata, and hike as much as possible. I’m comfortable leading 5.11 sport. Although US grades tend to be softer than European. I’m open to following whatever if it’s trad. Part of the trip, I’ll be on the Alta via 2 doing the lateral summits/ via Ferratas along the way. Definitely want to check out Tre Cime, rosengarten, Val Gardena, and cortina and more. Let me know if you are interested!

I will be in Frankenjura from 30 june until 4-5 July. Anything thats within a couple of hours from Munchen is interesting. I was in Frankenjura last summer, and would like to back there as well!

In addition I have via ferrata equipment for 4 persons, as I have my camper full of sport climbing equipment (picking up my family on Munchen airport on 5 july)

Hey Paul,

I will be at my home in Prague in June/July and would love to meet up and climb for any amount of days during that time. Sport climbing or long via ferrata routes. I am a competent climber and a reliable belayer.
