KailasGear not shipping my order

Well, my order still shows as "awaiting shipping". Supposedly, orders received during the Chinese New Year would be shipped between 26-Feb and 28-Feb. Given that it's almost midnight on 1-Mar in China, that's at least 2 days late on the estimated ship date.

Anyone else still waiting on shipment of an order placed on 12-Feb? At this point, I'm wondering if I'll get the cams in time for my trip later this month.

I just checked my order from the 12th still awaiting ship. Andrew I'd bet that shipping estimate was prior to all the people coming and using the 50% off discount. I'm mostly just hoping their inventory was accurate or they don't change their minds. Very curious about the avalanche probe style stick clip I ordered.

Yeah, that's my thinking, as well. They have been shipping orders, and I'm sure they'll honor orders already placed. In my mind, it's a question of how accurate their online inventory was; if I have to wait until their next production run, I won't get them in time for my trip. Not a huge deal (I have a double rack of C4's), but it's always fun to take new gear out for a spin.

For $54 via the recent Kailas deal vs. $90 ... nah :)

Did you really say it was 54$? This price was just insane but they are now out of stock.

That's if you got in on the pro deals they were handing out.  Also have nut sets for $45 with the pro deal....just wish they made offsets.

I emailed them this morning, and I just received a response. As suspected, they received many more orders than expected during the Chinese New year, and they're still working through them. They said mine should ship today.

Any still have their order awaiting shipping? Ordered mine on the 12th  and it's still awaiting shipping with no response from my email contact to request an update.

I received an email reply within a business day, and mine shipped later that day. When did you email them? (Note that they're 16-17 hours ahead of CA.)

I hope they come through for you!

mine showed but I think that the real question is how people feel about the Mandarin (?) instructions and the generally lesser production values immediately apparent.  For me, they feel the same (as in the hands, their action) but man they sure look to be knockoffs.  hell though, 54 a pop is great.

Mine have since arrived. I'm stoked, as soon as they did ship they arrived within five days.

For those of you that received them, I assume the online tracking information dried up once they left China? My tracking status shows that they "Departed from export office" 4 days ago. I'm guessing that shipping service won't update once they're stateside?

It's in his head. I own a blue basic and the "nuco" in green-red. They are absolutely identical in construction and appearance.

Mine arrived at the post office on Saturday I believe. Maybe there is a bit of difference since I'm currently in Canada.

It's still made in Spain....Kalais just distributes it out of China.  At least with the Totems and the Nucos.  The nut sets however might be made in China.  My set didn't look like the prettiest things ever but they have a legit CE cert and they have held several falls for me so far and def passed some aggressive bounce testing.

I am going to use them, and the differences (besides the fact that my old ones have seen use) stand subtly out to me.   Place on aid and learn what works eh?

They are literally made in the same factory.....the only subtle difference is the logo on the trigger.  Speaking as someone who has both Kalais and Totem brand Totems.

Emailed last week and sent another email today so we'll see what comes of it.

Okay it looks like you are talking about the solder beads on the end of the trigger cables (which remember are non load bearing).  There is some variation with the quality on these with both Kalais and Totem branded.  My Kalais equiv of the #1 has one bead that looks solid and the other that you can see the cable a bit on the end of it.  Nothing to worry about.

what if my second cannot retrieve my $54 totem copy?   everything is fucked.

Christopher Smith · · Unknown Hometown · Joined Jan 2017 · Points: 0

Also to let you know I started with only Kalais branded ones and I've taken bunches of falls on them, including some higher FF falls (I think probably up to .8-.9 FF).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
