I have done it many times before even climb in a t-shirt one fine winter day. There can be a big snow pile at the base of solar depending on the year. You will want to climb in the sun and your success or failure is an element of if you have a clear low wind day, Wyoming can be windy

The weather this year has been crazy with yo-yo highs and lows, zero one day and 50 the next, and the forecasts haven't been bulls-eyes beyond a day or two.  If you can make a last minute call based on the weather forecast then it might work,  but if you have to plan weeks in advance, then the odds of hitting a good day are very low.

Climbed McCarthy West Face Var. last February (the usual desert places had sh.t forecasts so drove to the Tower instead) and it was chilly but certainly climbable.  I suspect though this might not be the norm...
