I just saw the new Solution on Campsaver

and wonder if anyone has already got one and could share how does it compare to the old solution?

So true. Especially the snowflake thingy they put on the new Miura Lace.

I just don't understand why would they do that to a men's shoe.

La SJW? they push the snowflake agenda!

I wish I could try the womens versions of some of the shoes, but I have size 46 feet...  and yet they say there's no biological difference between genders...

the 2018 solution looks like someone was making a butora narshe but ran out of rubber in parts

It's too bad, really, especially considering I wear my shoes for how they make me look and not how well they perform.

I couldn't care less. If they are ugly and climb well, what's the big deal? Is your instagram feed going to be sullied by the '18 solutions? Then you don't need to find different shoes, you need to re-order your priorities.

My apologies, that was unintentionally really salty.  I think climbing shoes are inherently a bit silly looking.  Nothing new here.

It's literally exactly the same except for the strap, overlay it with the previous version and you'll see

Maybe they fixed the strap?  Here’s to hoping they put a bunch of the old ones on sale to clear out the inventory. :)

I was hoping for the same thing, clearance Solutions!

Are these released and purchaseable ? Or is this a pre order?

Why don’t you email them and report back?

Talked to a rep the other day, rounder eyelets and thicker strap apparently, expect the S-heel on the solutions in 2019.

Called campsaver. They're expecting to get the shoe in January 25.

seems odd, as the shoe isn't for sale anywhere else, including lasportiva's own website.

I've given up on campsaver.  They often "stock" items that are months from being released and then continually update the anticipated date it will be back in stock.  I've had this happen myself as well as to multiple friends.  You're basically pre-ordering when you buy from them as far as I'm concerned.

What's your issue with the s-heel?

Solutions, Miura Laces, Futuras, and the last few Katana velcros (all the styles that are getting updated colors this year)

Don't count on Katanas to return, my local shop owner said they are a European only product

WTF they are climbing shoes not cars.  We are at dirty crags not walking a fucking runway.  Just make effective shoes and don't waste R&D money on making it more stylish ffs.....

Also is it just me or did they get rid of the toe hook bump on the solutions?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
