An old Goldline would probably be worth something, but that neon green is completely lacking in the classiness department.

Hey, didn't Petzl have a neon green rope out just a year or so ago? Is it already out of 'style' too? I'd make something out of the Chouinard rope, or hang it as artwork in the climbing gallary at home.

I'd hang onto it--it might be worth something to a collector in the future. Do NOT climb with it.

The 10 or 10.5 super light single lead line released around 1986 met UIAA test standard. I retired it after 2 falls >30'&&<50'. It had some test falls between, all <16'.

Unused and in original bag suggests real collector value. But it's ultimately only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Maybe EBay it with a high reserve?

I vaguely remember that Chouinard ropes of that era were made by PMI. Could be wrong tho.
