Gotta salute BurcheyDawwwwwwg for being the only one to suggest a 10c consensus rating.

I spoke with Wolfgang today. He denied making the chalk marking on Glitter Gulch. So you can take your unsubstantiated allegations somewhere else. Furthermore, he stated that Glitter Gulch was no more difficult than 5.10b.

I specifically said "If" is was Wolfgang.  And he's still a dick and doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks.  At least he didn't call it 9.

I have no dog in this fight but....this morning I was at the gym and randomly picked up a climbing mag from '92 and thumbed through the pages and it just so happened to have a crag profile on Red Rock and and a handful of topos. Guess what...looks like our aspiring graffiti artist is a softie, not a sandbagger! lolol this is classic.

Well duh I saw it, but I didn't inspect it. All I saw was the rock being defaced to satisfy someones' ego.

In other words - you couldn't be bother to take 5 seconds to inspect the writing or 2 minutes to clean the writing off, because you had to immediately run off to your computer to post angrily about something you couldn't even be bother to verify. Why can't you all just give JG the kudos she so desperately craves for eschewing any sort of actual substantive work in favor of just angry ranting?

For the future, JG, actually fixing a problem is much more likely to earn you the validation you obviously crave, even though performatively ranting on FB is more emotionally satisfying.

I don't think we should note the name and grade at the base of climbs.  But I love reading this at work ("irritant" John - HA!  ).

Damnit, that's nowhere near as funny...

Obviously "somebody" was on it after a rain. If you look at the beta on MP the concensus is 5.10 b/c unless you are short. Someone could write that but it will take LOTS of chalk ;)

So, 11b+10b/2=10d-one grade (for being in Calico)=10c, no?  Perfectly logical. What's the issue again? :-)

Slow day at the office.

But boy, this reminds of old telemark tips site and the guy boasting about his pick-up and six-pack abs.

The issue is the defacing of the otherwise pristine and beautiful rock that had yet to be touched by human hands prior to this astounding incident in which someone had the audacity to put a small amount of chalk on it!

Right...okay then...carry on. I think the nag is still breathing.

This whole thing is hilarious, since GG would be 5.9 Woodson at best.

Am I slated to fistfight a woman boulderer?  It's news to me, let me check with my agent.

Guys... whoever marred Glitter Gulch is also at work in the Calico Basin. Very clearly not a bunny rabbit; it is a jackrabbit at the very least! If it's the same person, I'm guessing it's a six-year-old child. Please, be on the lookout. This aggression will not stand, man.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
