I know you suggested it a long time ago. I will implement it soon.

Unless you have a Greek shape (Mortons's toe), it is hard to understand the impact it has on sizing.

I want to be clear about what I was hoping for: Both could be profile based and read only. That is to say, if we find a matching shoe, based on your matching algorithm, we'd then have to view said person's profile directly for the extra information. With that we could make the call ourselves. Having the extra data will be helpful, nonetheless. It could be a field that asks "Do you have split size? Which foot is the larger foot, Left or Right foot?" And then for CM it asks for your (approximate) left/right sizes. Both would be optional, of course, and read only (not included in the search itself) and in the profile of those that want to go the extra mile (foot?) and add said info. Theoretically, it could be added to the search algorithm at a later date if everyone starts filling in that information but, that not something I'd ask for. And you're right, we don't want to put the cart before the horse in that regard. Anyway, appreciate all the effort just the same!

Ok Nate, you sold me on it. I'll add split sizing as a field to profiles, but will not do anything with the information yet. I figure it'll give me at least a rough of idea of users who wear split sizing, and then I can see what I want to do with it in the future.

Hi everyone!

First off thank you for using the site and for all the suggestions. I really appreciate the detailed feedback you guys have given me in this thread. Please keep it coming.

On to the fun stuff...

I pushed out the latest update. It is huge. This is definitely the biggest update to date and I would consider it sizesquirrel 2.0

New Features:

Sales Page!
Compare all the shoes on sale in one place across different retailers. Want to know who's selling the Five Ten Guide Tennies for the lowest price right now? All the climbing shoes on sale!

Foot Shape
I've added foot shape to profiles, as suggested in this thread.

Split Sizing
Also added split sizing to profiles

Shoe Images
Much more accurate shoe images, and also less missing images across the site.

The Small Stuff
Better shoe filtering, including shoe search, more sorting options, filter by brand. Slightly improved site design.

Thanks! I love your site. It's really a great idea.

I have added my foot shape. Maybe add an alert or something for people who haven't logged in since the update to let them know they should add a foot shape and about the other new features?

climbing friend,

does such a website exist for the size and the branding of the condom? Or can you find results based off your shoe of climbing type?

I put in a combinations of shoes I wear and ones I want and every time the accuracy comes up "low."  The shoes are the most popular climbing shoes ever sold: Mythos and Miuras.  The site is not used enough to be statistically significant.    I was looking for sizing for a La Sportiva Kantana, based on the size of the Mythos I own, and it comes up with a "split match" 43.5, 42, 40.5.  In other words it doesn't have a clue.  Worthless.

Eddie...I just tried searching for the guide tennie WOMEN's but i think your algorithm wont use men/womens shoe data interchangeably??

like...all my listed shoes are men's therefore i cant get womens sizzing data? seems kinda silly when ive put in most of my sizing based on EUR sizing...and also lots of climbers wear unisex or "cross sex" shoes?

you should really add EU sizing, at least for sportiva and Scarpa, as this is the basis for their lasts, not the converted US or UK size.

Just made an account. Made one because I am weary of the fit I have for my Moccs and don't wanna make the mistake again. Sized them at my street shoe, both 8.5, and weary that they will pack out too big. I added my Moccs to my profile but nowhere am I able to say how well they are sized, so it's a poor data point

It's on all of them, keep scrolling down further.

Quick bump and some updates. I've been mostly working on some backend bug fixes, but I also..

Added more shoes

I added a lot of shoes. There are now 676 shoe models on the site! Looking for a shoe that isn't on the site, let me know.

I'm open to suggestions. The "rating" is just a subjective rating of the shoe, but if you have suggestions on how to evaluate fit let me know. My current thinking is that the sizes on your profile should really be the size you think are a good fit. For example, I had some instincts that were 40.5, after using them for a while decided that I should have really gotten the 41, so I edited the shoe on my profile.

Glad you figured it out, don't worry, you're definitely not the first to make this comment. You can also just type in your size and it will scroll down to that size automatically.

What about just a 3 or 5 point slider indicating how well these fit? Ranging from "too large" to "too loose". Might not be incredibly useful because the majority of your account holders will have figured out sizing on shoes and will more often than not select the middle value "just right" lil goldilocks action!

Right now they still fit good because they haven't packed out, but I'm sure they'll too big eventually. When that time comes I'll be sure to change them. Didn't mean to sound critical either, you are making an awesome and necessary product that when it has enough user input will be a wicked tool. Have you reached out to anyone beyond MP to try and get more users?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
