Hey Matt,

Thanks a bunch. All gear is in the mail with updated tracking info. It should be all good. Communicated with the two gentlemen who were awfully kind. Thanks again, Ryan

If they're BD, send them to them, especially if their c4s. They may not be the cheapest, but they're fair and imo, nobody does better on BDs.

Anybody recently use mountain tools for reslinging? Thoughts on speed and quality of service? TIA

I used them a month ago to do 7 cams (an assortment of museum pieces). Service was great. Work quality was great. Recommend.

Yeah Chris Mt Tools turned around my tricams and were easy to work with. As was metolius. Black Diamond took forever and thought their work was just ok.

Count me in as another satisfied customer. Mountain Tools reslung my cams this summer and it was reasonably priced, quick, and professional.

Just got my cams re sling at mtn tools. Great turn around time and quality work. I sent in a bunch of older cams, so cam age isnt an issue. Reasonably priced and they sent the cams back priority mail. Got them in three days.

+1 for Mtn Tools

Another option is these guys based out of arizona. They do a lot of custom work as well, and may be local for some of the arizona climbers. Just figured I'd throw it out there as another option for people looking to shop close to home.

I've used Mountain Tools for 25+ years. They have reslung my cams and also done custom length slings (they stay over the shoulder better if a little shorter than usual).

Very satisfied.

just to chime in, Runout customs has reslung every unit of mine at one time or another. If you have cable looped Aliens master cams ect with skinny dyneema slings, get them re-slung BD style and enjoy kink free cable loops.

Ray caccia did some custom sewing for me and it was worth every cent.

Both places are fast professional and proficient

That thread may have more up to date links from people who reslinged their cams.

Bump.

2x WC done by mtn tools - great service and turnaround.

14x BD done by BD - great service and turnaround

I recently 'reslung' my old pre-thumb loop BD cams using Beal 5.5mm Dyneema cord, works well (stuff is stronger than a Traddad's aftershave) just be aware you need to secure dynemma cord with a tripple fisherman which is slightly faffier to tie.
