Racking gates In or Out? Has this question finally been answered?

Some of us have developed weird preferences... Like racking differently for sport and trad... (I've mostly broken that habit)

I always did gates out because that's the way I saw Steph Davis do it in one of those Masters of Stone videos. I figured there was a reason she did it that way and never thought about it again. It's so second nature now that it would be a huge pain to change even if there were some marginal benefit.
