Lost wedding ring

I may or may not have lost my wedding ring at Golden cliffs around the Jan/Feb/Mar timeframe in the year 2016. I was climbing many different routes along the entire cliff side. It is a men's wedding band wider than most bands, titanium silver, and about 10 years of scratches. It means quite a bit to me and I would be willing to give a reward if found. My wife has threatened to monkey stomp me on my ding ding if I don't find it. Please let me know if you find it!

This won't help you but it's a good story.

About four years ago I spent about 4 days climbing towers in Canyonlands. At the end of the trip I realized my wedding bad was missing. I thought long and hard and decided that it must have fallen out of the pack at the base of "Islet in the Sky" a really remote and rarely climbing tower. But really it could have gotten lost just about anywhere.

Maybe a year later a guy posted on MP looking for a partner for said tower. I PM'd him and asked him to look for the ring if he went out there. So he goes and climbs the tower. At the end of his trip he's pouring out an extra half quart of water he doesn't want to carry back to the car. It washes away a bit of dirt and loe and behold! there's my wedding ring freshly exposed.

So now it sits on finger still. Really pretty hard to believe.

Hope yours turns up.

A good friend lost her wedding ring in January while ice climbing. That spring, after having gone back multiple times looking for it, she found it, but it wasn't until she went climbing at a different location and saw it hanging on a locking biner on a gear loop of her harness.

Yeah, but leave your ring at home next time you go climbing. I assume that goes without saying?

Kinda easy to forget it's there, you know? Thanks for the reminder though. I need to buy a silicone ring for climbing.

Good luck finding your ring!

Tattooed my wedding ring on because of climbing.

Another feel-good story that won't help find your ring: My wife hid her ring in an old cloth eyeglass protector when we hired a house cleaner. As you would surmise she forgot about this act and it was simply "lost". Ten years later when sorting old junk I noticed a bulge in the eyeglass protector and there it was.

I assume you've considered renting a metal detector.

Kent, similarly to your wife, I am really good at securing items, mostly from myself. I'm still hoping it shows up in a buddies climbing pack or that sock I forget was stuffed in my pack. A metal detector is a good idea that hadn't crossed my mind, thanks!

that's what my wife and I do now. We never take our rings on any climbing trip. If we do, we leave it in the car once we get to said destination and put it back on once trip is done
