Time for a resole?

Hey everyone,

So, after getting burned again by waiting too long for a resole to avoid toe caps, I'm trying to be more conservative this time around and send my Moccs in before running into the rand. I've had them since around September/October and they've been my go-to gym shoe 3-4 times a week and for the occasional outdoor trip. Lately, I've noticed that their performance has declined, especially in the toes, which I feel slipping off of smaller holds more than they used to. The ball of my right foot also feels very thin. So, based on this and the pictures, how soon do you think I should send them in?

Ted,

Hard for me to tell from the photos (even looking at them "full size"), but the toe looks like it's getting thin.

Do you have a pair of backup shoes? If so, go ahead and send these in for a resole.

I will send mine in at the first sign of a tiny hole or when the front end/inside of the big toe looks super thin compared to the rest of the half-sole.

Cool, ok. Will do. Bear: I'm not sure where you got that from, as I don't. I do smear quite a bit with them, and went a little nuts with it when I first got them b/c I'd never used C4 before (holy stick-balls, Batman!). Maybe that's what you're seeing?

From the thumb nail, it was time awhile ago, agreed with the bear banger, you drag your toes on the wall.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
