Requoted:

Please spread the word: Do not bring your dogs to Castle Rock if you cannot keep them on a leash. This has become a serious problem and is jeopardizing access for everyone. Put the dog on a leash or leave it at home! And as much as we all hate to be the 'police', please (nicely) inform people that you encounter at the crag with off-leash dogs. We want you to be able to bring your furry friends outside to enjoy the day, but if this keeps happening they may not be able to come at all.
This was posted on our wall today from the family that lives below:
"Today there was a dog running loose, and this appears to be a constant problem because almost every time we go up to check our water, dogs are running loose. These dogs are also running freely through our water supply, which is used in two houses below Castle Rock. Also, countless times there have been people leaving well after dark. Read your rules again, people. Next time we see any of this happening, you will be stopped and told to never return to Castle Rock. Sincerely, the people who live here.

Second verse, same as the first?

The more things change, the more they stay the same?

Oh wait...things don't change, or did they? Are there new Officers for 2016? Was there a Fall Meeting where elections were held and terms put in place? Or is it still the same lifers runnin the show? If so...how can any SCC neighbors expect anything different outta the same bunch? That would just be stupid.

And, now....Ms. Phillips has shut out The Crag Dog....nice:

Bark, bark.

Castle Rock Update: Due to the sensitive nature of the drinking water source running through the crag, the lower landowners at Castle Rock have asked that we no longer allow dogs in an effort to protect their drinking water. It is very important that we get this message out to the climbing community so as not to create a further access issue.
This rule is effective IMMEDIATELY. We will be posting new signage at Castle Rock in the coming weeks. Please help us spread the word!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
