Grand Canyon summit climbing
Are there any locals in the flag/Sedona area that are into climbing some of the summits in the Grand Canyon? Not only am I looking for partners, but I'd also love to get some info. I've spent a fair amount of time in the canyon doing some canyoneering, but finding climbers interested in that level of adventure is fairly difficult. You almost have to embrace the approach more than the actual climb. Anyway, I find the challenge of the summits in the canyon very interesting. Hit me up if you have any info, or, a desire to seek out some summits. |

The site has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the multiple comments of "I've done x number of summits" or "I've done x number of miles" is a bit too much for me ( and others I'm sure). The amount of ego in the climbing communities is getting old. |

Yes, I am absolutely interested in GC Summits. Tried to find partners for a Christmas trip last year, but didn't end up happening. I've got a copy of the GC Summits Select book (I think pseudalpine had a hand in writing). If you want to meet for a tea or coffee sometime, let me know. |
