I'm planning a road trip from California to Colorado with a friend who's moving back there. I'll be flying back to ca when we're done. We want to go deep water soloing in Winslow az along the way. I've looked it up and have a little understanding of how it's gunna be but if anyone has any tips or info I might not have that would be awesome. One main thing is where we should rent a kayak if we don't end up buying one before we go. This is the first time I've posted anything in the forums. Thanks for any help anyone has!

I have climbed there many times and it is a blast! I don't know about any watercraft rentals in Winslow but there certainly are here in Flagstaff. Canoes work but are more difficult to re-enter from the water. Kayaks are obviously well-suited for the job, but a friend has recently started using a stand-up paddle board and loves it for the ease of stepping onto a route and also for getting back on after jumping/falling off.
The boat ramp put in is at McHood reservoir but there are also several spots upstream of that that arte closer to the climbing. These require driving a little ways on rougher dirt roads and then carrying your boat down to the water.
