Wanting to ICE climb for the first time

So... I'm thinking I'd really like to try ice this year... wanted to get on it last year but wasn't able to...
I haven't been on snow or near it in ages... and its high time to get on it! I'm really wanting to be able to have some mixed climbing in my near future!

I'm flexible, willing, and super stoked... just need to find a sucker to help and teach me??

After I get a few fixes in for myself I could be talked into taking you out sometime. I've got spare gear so all you'd need is crampon compatible boots.

I can't make it to Ouray but looking for a partner to get into ice with here in NorCal. Ive been out in Lee Vining once and in Patagonia with a partner as well.

I currently live in Mammoth Lakes and I am in a similar situation of wanting to learn ice climbing but I don't have anyone to teach me (or the gear). Am I close to good ice climbing? If there's room I'd love to be able to learn with anyone who goes out! I am climbing Cardinal Pinnacle this Sunday but am free on Monday :)

yes, you are close to some good stuff. I would just wander out to lee vining canyon and hope you meet some people who will give you a lap on their top-rope. If not, oh well- you got to the ice which is sometimes the hardest part!
