Chalk bags with pockets?

Check out the CAMP Montagna - biggest pockets on a chalk bag I have ever used. Two monster pockets that could each fit all of that stuff in one.

I just got a 'cache' chalk bag from Misty. It has a rear pocket.

For what it's worth, I have tried to contact you to get a bag months ago through your facebook page, your website, and through PMing your mountain project account in order to try to get a bag. You didn't respond to any one of the three separate ways I tried to contact you.

As much as I like supporting the "little guy" and whatnot, I wouldn't bother trying to get from TUFA if you, ya know, actually want to try to purchase a bag.

I had a hiatus with TUFA through an internship and part of school. During this time I was still answering business emails, usually within 24 hours.

I'd kill for a chalkbag with a bottom compartment that was large enough to hold a Patagonia Houdini to something similar. I always like to carry something like that when multi-pitching and this would be the best way. The trick is going to be figure out how to keep the compartments separate so that the Houdini doesn't push up into the chalk compartment. While you're at it, built a belt, Rabbit Runner style, that will hold 5-6kN so you have an emergency bail or clip-in sling.

Mal - I use full strength 9/16" supertape as a chalk belt but connect it with a simple plastic fastex buckle. If you ever need a bail sling, just take off the chalk bag, tie an overhand, and you're set. Take the buckles off if you have time. Or don't.

I prefer having a plastic buckle (instead of tying a knot) because it's way more convenient and a knotted sling around your waist could theoretically pose a risk in a highly, highly unlikely scenario.

By the way, the CAMP Montagna Chalk Bag also features a bottom compartment that hides a cover for the chalk bag in case you get pinned down in the alpine... or if you need to stuff an uber light CAMP Magic Jacket in there.

I just got an extremely well-made custom chalk bag from Josh at TUFA Climbing. I like to have the option of taking my phone up the wall for emergencies, and since I got the iPhone 6, couldn't find any chalk bag that I could fit it in. I also wanted the zipper up high in the back of the chalk bag to reduce chance of dropping it. Josh made one with the colors I wanted and zipper where I wanted it. Zipper is seam-sealed and moves easily. Opening is large for the hands and soft on the inside. Thanks so much Josh!

Here is a little custom pocket I did for Kai. It holds a wind shirt, knife, and an e-lite without protruding into the chalk reservoir.

I just redesigned the Houdini Chalk Bag (last version post above). Holds a headlamps, knife, and granola bar perfectly without effecting the functionality of the chalk compartment.

Odd question perhaps, but have you considered doing something similar for the running community?

I do trail runs ranging from 10-25 miles and have been looking for a small waist belt that would hold a similar amount to your chalk bag (emergency light, some gel/bars, Softflask, light layer, credit card, possibly phone). Nothing on the market quite meets those needs, so I keep running with a vest, but it has more material and weight than I'd like.

Anyway, nice work on the Houdini, it looks great.

This would fit OPs description.
