Volunteer Opportunity: Looking for belay help for a kids asthma camp

Hi guys,

I'm looking for help belaying this year at Champ Camp.

CHAMP* Camp is a weeklong summer camp for kids with asthma, ages 7-14, held each year at Glacier View Ranch, N of Ward, Colo.
Besides canoeing, swimming, games, arts& crafts, asthma ed, etc, Rock Climbing is the most popular activity.
CMC members present and past have been volunteering for this activity for 15 years. We provide belayers and some gear, such as runners, biners, static rope.
The American Lung Assoc. is very appreciative of our help year after year.
This is a fun gig.

Some highlights:
· The property is awesome, with granite domes , trees, paths, wildflowers

· Tent Camping is in the trees down by the horse stables – water is available

· Motor home camping is available, includes electric hookups

· Climbing is 8 am – noon Mon – Thu (Jul 21-24)

· Come up for a day or the entire week

· Bring your s.o. and kids

· Friendly dogs are ok, if they can stay quietly in your camping area while you work

· After work, Estes Park, Lumpy Ridge and the Ironclads climbing area are a short drive north

· Hiking, mtn biking, trail running, the Indian Peaks are within reach

· Kicking back and siesta de hammock are also very popular

This is cool. I teach kids, and my summer program ends just before this, so I'll have to see if I can manage some time.

I only have Monday free, so if I could carpool there and back I'd do it. Or perhaps my transportation issue will magically fix itself.
