He thinks you're trolling because there are no classic routes in BoCan.

leon (aka ellenor, aka elena sera jose, etc.) got thrown off the site this morning. Looks like he/she/it is back again.

No, s/he edited the original post (so I'm removing mine). I actually like Boulder Canyon, the original post was some silly immature little thing. Just trolling.

Lots of stuff at Castle Rock. Empire of the Fenceless. Cosmosis. Wall of Winter Warmth. The Scientist. Bitty Buttress.

I was just trollin' too.

Firstly, how do we know that Eleanor is actually trying to troll? What if that is just how she is? If it is just her personality, doesn't that make us the jerks by name calling and kicking her out of the site?

Just saying.

Secondly, can one of the administrators or someone with access to user history and accounts create a graph that tracks the various forms of said troll through time? Maybe include # of threads created, posts made, words used, average number of words per post, vocabulary used, etc. I'd be interested to see that.

Thirdly, using this data, couldn't one create an app that scours MP for possible culprits and delete their accounts before they stir up too much trouble? I mean, if we're gonna do this, let's do it right. Or simply block her known IP addresses?

I've contacted the moderators twice about Elena/ellenor/whoever. Both times were for truly vulgar, inappropriate remarks. Both times she was kicked off the site and the offending posts were deleted. If the posts I've flagged were "just her personality", then she's got a few issues to resolve, and Mountain Project is better off without her presence until those issues are resolved.

Yes, yes, of course Jon. The admins are just laying around twiddlin' their thumbs waiting to make some graphs summarizing bat shit crazy Elena's posting history..... That's some funny shit right there.
Big beard should tell us if that's just how she really is.

I still think a graph would be funny.

I guess I'm just not fast enough to catch the vulgar stuff. I mostly just see an excess of trivial stupidity. My bad.

If she is such a nuisance, why not just block her IP(s)?

Boulder Canyon has been the central arena and seat of power for Colorado climbing and has given rise to some of the finest and most difficult routes in North America.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
