If anyone is interested I would like to head down to Grayson Highlands sometime in the near future whether it's in the next few weekends or in a few months when it gets warmer. It's just always good to get out and climb with new faces, so if anyone is interested just hit me up and let's go boulder.

I am new to the area and living in Richmond. Been climbing in the gym and I'm ready to get outside again. Keep me posted and we'll get after it. Greg 303 726 5542

Sounds good. I've only climbed up in front royal and the gym so interested to check everything out, especially manchester (seems unique and convenient). Always heard about NRG and Seneca and itching to make it over there. Let me know if either of you wanna meet at the gym as well, I need a partner to lead with.

Nice Jake, I too am a lanky S.O.B. I might be in there on sat. if so I will come say haro. I'm excited to meet new people. I miss my old crew dearly and miss how much I used to be able to climb. My GF has a bunch of wedding planning bs for her friends wedding through mar and apr so I should be foot loose and fancy free many of the weekends. I would love to join for NRG.

Richmond, how is that town doing? I went to VCU BITD, no climbing gym, just that wall on the river to play on. Its cool to see places like the highlands showing up, actual VA destinations. I think my favorite "rock" memories around there were the tunnel rocks in the river up by U of R

cool, the murder rate was in the top 3 in the nation when I was there! in fact that was what put Richmond on the map. I've heard good things about the city recently, it wasnt much when I was there, the river was the only cool thing about it besides all the college girls and the super freaky art scene around campus. what part of the city is the gym in?

Sup ya'll. Also in RVA, and also looking to make it to Grayson Highlands. Mostly I climb at the gym, not terribly experienced but I can hold my own and I learn real fast. I can climb a V4 easily enough but i struggle with V5's. I've already made it to Grayson Highlands. Great bouldering and Mt. Rogers is a beaut. Hope this works out gentlemen

Jake Jones wrote:There's a VCU bouldering gym that's pretty decent I hear, I've never been there personally. The bigger gym is in Midlothian near the intersection of Robious and Huguenot. I haven't been to many gyms, one in SanDiego and another one somewhere else, so I don't have much frame of reference. They take it really seriously though. It's fun to work there- really friendly environment, and it's a good place to train on relatively tall (50') walls. Dedicated (but kind of small) training area too with a good campus board, system board and multiple hangboards. The bouldering cave is adequate, but gets crowded sometimes. Excellent route setting though (I'm not a setter, so no horn-tooting). It's called Peak Experiences. That's the gym I belong to. If you're going to stop by, make sure you do it before 4 PM due to the fact the climbing team swarms the bouldering cave. The Route Setters are top notch. Lots of variety.
