I know this is a long shot but does anyone know if Cheyenne Canyon is open yet? Furthermore, even bigger long shot, if the park is open is the ice in? Thanks

The park according to the people I spoke with is supposed to be closed until next summer due to the floods, lets hope this is not true but as it stands right now I really don't see anything going on up there to indicate otherwise

As of last Friday(the 29th) North Cheyenne Canyon was still closed.

Who knows though, maybe after the cold temps the next week something will form. I know a couple people who've headed back there to bike the trails, do you think riding back there to check it out would be asking for a ticket?

Isnt Hully Gully closed too? Guess I'll stick with more drytooling or Cody trips.

Haven't been to the gully yet , figured with the temps we have had lately its not worth the trek . Anything that might be forming in there should be left to develop , as it stands
It's looking like a repete of last winter . Maybe after this new cold front ?

As for getting to silver cascade I've heard if you bike in from the top ? but ill leave that up to the peps who really want to go through all that shit just for a lump of ice hardly worth the effort hiking up the trail to decide . It's my understanding that all the pipeing has been filled or washed out so it will be even smaller than usual .that pretty much seals it for me .

Much better places to go if I'm going to expend that kind of effort.

Old stage road that leads to hully is closed. You can park at the gate and walk in though which is barely a mile. I was there a couple weeks ago though and it was bone dry!

Hully is coming in nice. This cold snap is working wonders, making both pitches leadable for us last Friday. I think we were the first ones on it this year. I'd bet it's grown significantly in the last few days due to the temps. More water was feeding it than I've ever seen. In no way is this a repeat of last year! Gonna be hella fat.

It is hard to get to right now with old stage closed, so good luck and use your ninja skills. All I'm saying on that.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
