Sleeping bag for Mt Rainier HHEELPP

Hey guys, im looking for a sleeping bag for Rainier.
I am climbing on the first week of September and im shopping for a sleeping bag.

So far i have seen theMarmot Snowcrest 5 but im still undecided and very unsure.

Anyone could give me any suggestions? Yes or no on this bag?

A 5F rated bag is probably overkill unless you sleep VERY cold. Rainier summer climbs I typically use a synthetic bag rated to around 20F. The MH Lamina 20F has been my bag of choice past couple years. Been fine sleeping on the summit in a tent or open at 10K.

I would STRONGLY recommend against down. i spent several nights in a storm on liberty ridge several years ago & watched all my down wilt to nothing. a 5 degree should be plenty warm, but if it were me i would sleep in a few layers & go with a 20.
as for bags, the mont bell "ss" (super stretch) are by far the most comfortable bags i have slept in.... especially nice if you are restless or not a back sleeper.

The North Face Cat's Meow is ranked petty high. I own a 15°F down bag and absolutely regret it. Get a synthetic so you're not screwed when it gets wet. I would tend to agree that a 5° bag is overkill. Just supplement with clothes to keep the weight down.
