I'm off from work between those dates and looking to do some climbing, could be just for the weekend. I've never been to either, but comfortable on sport 5.10 up to easy 11, willing to follow hard 11. Never been to IC and I'm a shitty crack climber but there's only one way to get better...

Have a full rack of triples #1-3, doubles of everything else.

720-445-1520 call or text me, I've got some paid vacation to burn. Been itching to get back to IC, I wouldn't worry about crack skill, it's all about your hand size and finding compatible routes. IC is to trad what the Red River Gorge is to sport climbing. Just stupid ridiculous fun at a place where it's super EASY to CLIMB HARD

Are you joking? Climbing grid bolted kitty-litter or world class desert cracks? Tough choice. If you need cracks go to Turkey Rocks, Eleven mile or Penetente and get both, or Independence Pass, if you don't want to drive as far as the Creek. Shelf is great for those winter weekends when most all other choices are hosed, too early to settle for Shelf. I will probably get shit for bashing Shelf Road.
The truth can hurt some folks.

Uh, you are thinking of Cheyenne Canyon. Now that is kitty litter.

maybe I'll just wait for a climbing video game instead? Or sit around on MP and talk about climbing? Maybe juggs will come in here and offer some advice next..

IC. But be prepared to get your sh!t worked if you're new to crack... Make sure your partners are patient and good teachers.

Save shelf rd. for times betwixt late novs and febs

I'm not completely new to crack, I've climbed at lumpy quite a bit, lead blind faith at eldo, just not any pure sandstone splitters. I look foward to it.

Sorry, maybe I'm projecting a bit... I should say, I got MY ass kicked my 1st time out there. But then, I never took crack too seriously until that trip.

I can't imagine a better time to go than October.

Enjoy!

So Nick and I are heading to the Creek Saturday afternoon, Oct 6. We've got room for one or two other people in my truck, and the more cams the merrier. We're coming back the evening of the 10th. If anyone else wants to go, they're welcomed to.

A car pool with four or even three peeps would make for an obscenely cheap trip gas wise.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
