Just a heads up, Mike and Melissa Lohre had their car broken into at the CCC parking lot today. They broke the passanger side window and I believe took Melissa's wallet. My car was right next to them, and fortunately, was not broken into. We were parked on the other side of the trees in the gravel lot.
This is a really unfortunate thing to happen at the Lake. Everyone should be aware, and make sure not to leave any valuables in their car. Hopefully this is a one time occurrence and climber won't have to park in fear. It was really busy today too, and whoever did this had some real balls to pull it off. If anyone hears anything please contact Mike.
Update: According to park officials, they were one of five break-ins around the park.

Bogus. Thanks for the heads up. I generally avoid leaving stuff in the car but sometimes I do, especially when I'm camping up there.

Bah, that sucks. This isn't completely related, but my sister had her car broken into in front of Boulders about 6 weeks ago. Middle of the day. Passenger side front window broken. Wallet stolen. The staff (who were very helpful) mentioned that they sometimes see shady people walking through their parking lot, possibly between the temp agency and the bus stop. I guess I'm just reinforcing what Remo said about not leaving valuables in the car if you can avoid it.

Bump. There have been more break ins at the CCC lot. Don't leave valuables in your car people!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
