new to colorado looking for partner

i just moved to golden in june and ive been hitting the mountains as much as possible since. i've done longs a couple of times solo because i keep getting stood up by posters from another site. i've been told by the guys at bent gate that people here are much more reliable. i haven't done any thing technical yet but i'm game to learn. looking for a partner for anytime.

You should get ahold of JF Sebastian. I think he is still floating around Golden for a couple more weeks. He is a pretty badass big wall climber.

Hey Jeff,

Did you mean that you haven't done any of the technical route on longs, or that you've never climbed any technical routes at all? If the former, it helps to mention what grade you lead, toprope, ext., so that you can pair up with people of similar abilities. If you've never done any technical climbing at all, you may be hard pressed to find someone who's generous enough to teach you for free, and you might get a rude comment on even the best website (mp.com, see above comment). In this case you might want to try taking an intro class at a climbing gym, and/or buying a "how to" book, and/or going bouldering. With the exception of the book, those are also good ways to meet partners.

I'm putting together a ice trip to ROMO sunday, if your interested let me know, "got rope will climb" want to head to emerald lake next to mills, WI3/WI3+ climb. top rope or lead, a'bout a 50 hike from TR. Will leave from longmont/Boulder area off hwy 36 and left hand canyon.
