I will be living in Rome this fall but don't really have any actual obligations (READ: I will take time off/quit work if a good trip comes along) and would love to explore some of the climbing in Italy and anywhere else in Europe. I've been climbing for about a year and a half, primarily bouldering and sport climbing. I did my first trad routes yesterday. I'm looking for partners who will be in Europe from September-December and I'm pretty much down for any sort of climbing whether its within my abilities or not, I want to try it all. So if anyone is looking for a partner anywhere across Europe this fall lemme know and we'll see if we can work something out.
I will be climbing in Chamonix for all of September and I would love to have a partner! And my family is from Ticonderoga! Right near you! Anyway, if you're still interested in coming up to the alps, hit me up!
Hey Will, I'm arriving in Rome on the 14th. I would love to come up to do some climbing in the Alps if I can make it up there later in the month. My plan is sort of to figure everything out once I get over there so I'll have a better idea of when I could make the trip once I see what my living/work situation will be like. Hope it works- I'll be in touch when I get to Europe.
Wandering Europe for all of the month of Oct. No rope, but a barebones sport rack and shoes. I'd be down with meeting up anywhere, mostly would want to sport climb (up to around 5.11c on a good day).
I'm also an Upstate NYer, born in Cortland. My folks have a camp near Old Forge on Little Long Lake and I used to hike out of Keene Valley back in high school. Small world.
Superfly, I've got a 60m 10.2mm rope. Super down to do some sport. I'm free from Oct. 10 onward. Any ideas on where you would want to go? I'm up for anything. Haven't climbed for a week and a half now and its killing me. I'm not sure what the hardest I could lead is since I wasn't able to do too much sport this summer for lack of a partner...probably somewhere low 5.11. Could follow harder. Hope to hear from you soon.
