Red River in November?
I was hoping someone could answer a question. My girlfriend and I were considering making a trip down to KY to Red River Gorge around Thanksgiving. Is the weather still decent about that time of year? |

Beautiful weather yet, and make it there for the end-of-season Thanksgiving week feast at Miguels for sure. |

Ooh, the Red in November... so nice. Can't go wrong makin' it down there then. |
+3 -- Perfect time of year. |

Two thumbs up for RRG at Thanksgiving! Chilly in the morning, but superb climbing from 10am-5pm (gets dark earlier). Check out True North Outfitters, if you dont want to camp. Their site must be offline, but you can get info here redrivergorge.com/lodging.html. I think it was $14 a night for warm bed, shower and really nice breakfast. |

+1 for a great time of year. I was there at the beginning of Nov last year and climbed every day we were there. |
+1 for staying and feasting at True North. Climbing is beautiful, with the last of fall colors still in the trees. Also helps you can find the cliff line a bit better in the late fall. |

Oct to Nov is the best time to go down there. Same with Mar-June. |

i've been down there as late as mid-november and conditions were great. cool temps, dry air; probably better to stick to sunny areas, though, mornings were chilly and with the short days we wanted to get out fairly early. |

Does anyone know if the true north still does lodging and if Miguel’s still has Thanksgiving!? |
