SAL, I'm confident Trango's site had info on the Max Cams two years ago. I haven't kept tabs on them since, and in my not-so-young age I'm turning rather forgetful, but my first reaction was that the Max Cams disappeared from the site when it was recently revamped. |

I tired to buy a set form them last year, when they were on the website and had a statement that they had limited quantity left. I called them up and by the time i called they told me that they were sold out and would not be making anymore, because they could not find a manufacture who could make them to Trango's standards. |

Thanks, Rob. |

Dailey, thanks for the offer. I wasn't trying to buy another one. I just noticed by accident they were gone from the site. They have not been in production for at least two years. Trango still had stock of them which is why you saw them on the site. They are out of stock of them now which is why you cannot see them on there. |

The video linked above is mine, and I agree that they're not ideal for parallel cracks. But in the places I climb (Eastern PA/Gunks) I find the offset stem quite handy and have yet to run into issues with the 'Flop' due to the granular nature of the cracks preventing it from happening. Different places take different gear, and sadly this side effect of the design meant that it didn't sell well and was withdrawn from the market. |
