Your all a bunch of wankers !!

Art Higbee died and I wish I hadn't posted this thread with the attitude that I had. I don't think that Art would have approved so I apologize and withdraw my comment. |

Without a doubt, absolutely. Wanking is my middle name..... |

I'm not sure what your post is referencing. Did Art truly die? If so, this is sad new. I lived in Steamboat for many year where Art lives. I meet him a few year ago. I was sitting on a restaurant patio sipping some margs looking through the book "Climb" with some climber friends of mine. I came across some stories about Art Higbee. Seconds later Art (who doesn't know me) passed by on his bike. I called out and he came over. I showed him what we were looking at and he autographed the page for me. Great guy and bad ass climber. Hope to climb Art's Spar soon in his honor. He will be missed, especially by his family. He spoke of his son and his passion for ice hockey. |

Some of Art's history. Jim Erikson's story is quite funny. |

Condolences if the above information is true. However... |

Olaf Mitchell wrote:FU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously Olaf, put up a proper post in respect of Mr. Higbee if you care so much and we'd all be educated instead of insulted. |

Thanks Richard, your right, a proper post is needed! My grammer sucks! |
|

Olaf- if you are going to go British on us please use the proper terminology ie: you bleeding wankers. On the serious side I am sorry to hear of yet another climber passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. |

Hay guys,I'm the bleeding WANKER! |

Art was a free climbing prophet. He and Jim Erikson all but did (minus a move or two) the first free ascent of the Robbins NW face of Half Dome route. One of the few climbing films worth watching is of their ascent of that wall. He was a great role model for younger climbers of that era. |

Sorry, but I have to disagree on this one. Proper usage - at least where I come from - is sans the "bleeding". The w word is strong enough to stand by itself. (see, I can't even bring myself to use it.) I won't touch the grammatical issues as they've already been covered. |
