Hey folks,

A tweaked knee has pretty much ruled out skiing for me this winter other than some easy days at Huntah, Plattekill, etc with the family but it's at 100% for climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, etc.

Instead of sitting on my ass all winter and wallowing in self pity at not making 50 ski days like I used to, I figured I might as well learn to get out and climb some ice. I should have boots, crampons, tools, and a couple screws within a week or two. Already have a closet overflowing with trad gear, dry ropes, winter gear, etc.

4 years trad experience, 7-8 years winter camping and sidecountry/slackcountry skiing experience. 25 years old.

Safe, smart, driven.

Looking for someone to take me out and show me the ropes (haha) of ice and alpine. I'm fairly strong on rock, I imagine I can get fairly strong on ice quickly.

I'm in northern NJ and can drive up to the catskills, daks, or whites no problem.

Would also love to do some alpine type stuff (maybe Gothic etc) or head up into the Whites once I have a couple Daks peaks in the bag.

Happy to trade belay duty to tag along with your crew!

Shoot me a message!

There is usually something going on.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
