We could talk the casinos into creating an ice park. Imagine, they build a large window for viewing from Isle of Capri...pump water to the top of the wall forming WI-sick ice lines...climbers rope up and send...the gamblers place bets on who tops out, who falls etc....win win win!!!

An easier and more logical location is off the water fall across from Idaho Springs. Turning it into an ice park has come-up multiple times with little movement. They could pipe water along the clif and provide at least 15 different lines. The number 1 problem is that Clear Creek County is super ass backwards and against change.

Forget trying approaching Idaho Springs about an ice park. I've done that very thing for a few years and to no avail. I've presented professional plans, with insurance etc only to be shut down by: A) chief of police B) major and C) City attorney general. Farming and building an artificial icewall somewhere out of sight is a much better option..........or farm ice that is in CCC but out of sight.

I think I like the Black Hawk idea best! It sounds like it would have the added benifit for the profit motivated casino's too. That just my two though.

I never really got how water was getting diverted into the Coors Lite formations, it being a natural drainage and all. Is there a spring up higher? Too bad about the Boulder Canyon leaky pipes being fixed.
