Looking for Climbing partners in the Tucson area

My name is Derek Anderson and I'm looking for climbing partners for Mt.Lemmon. I have most of my gear accept a rope, which Iam currently working on and might have by the time I end up on the rock. I used to climb as a child with my father so I"m a little rusty. I can only really remember my double figure 8 and some basic belay moves. Rocks and Ropes is a good place to meet people as well as the Tucson meet up group.

Mike, I thought about Rocks and Ropes as far as leaving a note much like the message here on the forums, I was just afraid that gym climbers tend to stick to the gym, and I'm not about being indoors in any way haha... Thanks though again Mike!

Derek: I'm not sure what's up with the Meetup site...

Mike's right, though, about the gym. In Tucson, most of the folks you'll find at the gym on weekday evenings climb outside every weekend. Show up on a Tuesday or Thursday evening after 7:00, and you'll meet a bunch of us.

Here's what's listed on the Meetup for this weekend:

Saturday: There's a group from Phoenix meeting at LeBuzz at 9:00 to climb on Mt. Lemmon. Call Danny at 60two-79zero-18eight9 to RSVP.

Sunday: There's a group from Tucson meeting at LeBuzz at 9:00 to climb on Mt. Lemmon. Call David at 520-two-six-zero-zero-four-eight-zero to RSVP.

Yeah , Mike was right the gym is pretty nice here and lots of friendly people. Had a ton of fun also climbing with you guys on mt.Lemmon yesterday. thanks again guys ! (:

I refuse to go to the gym personally but I climb to get away from people and the city so the gym is useless to me.

Anyway, now you got a rope brother so let's hit to rock tuesday for sure if not sooner!

If anybody else is slightly out there (uptight and overly anal people freak me out) but safe you're welcome to come tuesday. Derek and I are also thinking about doing a night climb at jailhouse on sept 4th if you're interested.

A Jailhouse night session sounds pretty sweet. If you guys end up going, let me know and if I can make it work I'd love to go out with you guys.

Yeah ,night climb! Joe come along will be fun! , I have some extra flash lights but headlamps are really helpfull if you don't have one summit hut has child BD ones for like 20$.

Thanks also Adam for hooking up the rope for the crashpad, I appriciate it and yes Tuesday we should go have some fun on the rock if I can finish up, Monday might be better for me but I want to climb as much as I can so its all good with whatever works.
