Epic on Cat in the Hat - Ropes Stuck. Help?

Sorry this isn't as interested as the title would make out.

Me and some parties had to bail off Cat in the Hat in Red Rocks on Sunday March 30th, and I had to leave my ropes on the 3rd pitch - they were stuck and there were further complications.

An extremely kind gentleman offered to retrieve them today (Monday) but in the off chance he doesn't get to it, or someone beats him to the punch, I'd really like my ropes back.

I'll pay shipping + beer + infinite karma. I live in San Francisco, and can identify the ropes by color.

I met the gentleman briefly at the trailhead. Something came up and his plans got changed. Somebody else???

Anybody???

Thanks Larry, but I think my ropes may be lost.

Cat in the Hat is so popular that if Ed didn't make it up yesterday, someone else probably did and swiped them. If they happen to see my repeated postings, then I may get them back, but they may not have Internet for a few more days.

Keep posting, we found a rope bag with rope, shoes, and camera at Indian Creek, but it took a couple weeks for us to get to internet access (we posted a note in the local climbing shop only a couple days after we found it). Once we got internet access we found the owner right away. Same thing could happen with some visiting climbers. Keep posting, cross your fingers, you might get lucky and get them back!

Bitty Bump.

Got an e-mail back from the nice gentleman, he decided to climb another route and didn't make it to my ropes. Someone out there scored two ropes... anyone have an overly happy friend?

How did you get off the rest of the route if you left both of your ropes stuck on pitch 3?

Other parties below us, read the trip report! :P

We did Cat in the Hat on Thursday April 10th. Hope you get your rope back. I've got the blues about that kinda thing going on. Found some gear that I've gotta somehow find owners for. Sorry it isn't your two ropes. I'll post it in a new thread. Also thanks for sharing the tip about having someone lowered with the rope ends. I've always just rapped with coils and slowly unfurled them if I was nervous about snags or if there were people below. Cool Tent and the beenie really is pretty sweet dude... probably super warm eh?

Also a shout out to Larry DeAngelo... Thanks for letting me in on the first ascent of Come back Corner, you'd be happy to know that I carry my slings over my shoulder now, and have most of my protection on there own carabiners. That really was a good time for me Larry and I appreciated the wealth of history and knowledge that you've given me to digest.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
