I totally agree with this. This thread has morphed a ton over time, especially the original post. How many edits? Who knows.

Get rid of the edit option. A significant number of posts are just to keep the original post language viable.

eh, dont bother. tony would just lop off the head and replace it with a stuffed potato sack version of his own mug, paint it with lots of little brown, black, and white dots so as not to be an eyesore, and etch his name at the base.

Tony sounds like you need to move to another climbing area, but please don't move to Boulder we have plenty of bolts and have already had an extensive bolt war with damaged rock to prove it. I am however a strong advocate of changing out old worn arnchors, but in my opinion if you can build an anchor with trad gear bolts take away from the whole experience. sounds like yall have your hands full. good luck.

Start a comittee (like the one in eldorado canyon, because it is a state park) for someone to create a new route or change an anchor or put bolts on an existing route you have to submit an application then get it approved by the park and a group of climbers. Most of the applications get turned down because they would change the nature of the climb make an R rated climb safe, which whats the fun in that. There is something to be said about some of the R climbs in eldo that would not be as much fun if they were a little safer (call me crazy).

It seems like a lot of people who want this thread and the conflict between posted parties to continue seem to be from Col. I agree that this thread does have some entertainment value, and I would hope that we could all find other ways to entertain ourselves. I believe that all of this arguing does nothing but create more bad feelings among people who are involved. I say delete the thread, let things cool down, and then get together and have a forum within the community about the issue(even if it has been done before). Arguing and bickering is what kids who don't want to share on the playground do. Let's aspire to be engaged assertive members of the community.

Tony,you started this thread by warning us of the threatening actions being taken on anchors. Several people have asked you what anchors have been removed, from what routes. Would you care to finally reveal what routes have been damaged?

tc, posting pages and pages of pleas and accusations beggingt to stop screwing with routes and then absolutely refusing to give specific examples of what has been damaged is shady at the very least and sorta makes you look kinda stupid.

I wanted to check out some of Utah's beautiful climbing areas this summer especially Little Cottonwood...now it all seems rather complex. Climbing is supposed to be fun, the hard part is about getting up the route clean, not trying to figure out what's still there...or not there... so

I'd like a climbing partner this summer if anyone's game -someone who knows where the bullits & shouting will not be flyin'...if that's possible plz send a pm. Thanks, cheers ~
