Climbing Near Iola, Kansas

A ridge of Limestone Mushrooms of decent quality ranging from 8-12’. Unique boulder problems from finger, hand, fist, off-width cracks, horizontal and vertical. Some nice slabs lie at the north west end of ridge ranging from 8-12’. More than 60 boulder problems exist at shroomies with more added weekly. Stay on well established path after initial T until reaching the low water crossing. Cross creek and bear right at the Y in path. Follow until reaching the top of the hill and identify the trail by two pink ribbons on the left hand side. Follow the pink ribboned path from the to shroomies. This area is approximately 1/2 mile from parking.

Prominent capped(overhanging) Limestone Toadstool just past “Mycelium Wall”. The “Pinnacle” itself is the small choosy boulder atop the toadstool on the south edge. Walk past Mycelium Wall
