Description

A spectacular viewpoint along the peaceful ridge running south from from Cathedral Rock and Pass. This highpoint is a nice flat comfortable area great for lounging. Its summit and Peak 5880 to the south both deserve official names.

Getting There

Cathedral Rock Trail #1345 for 2.1 miles. Turn left on Trail Creek Trail #1322 and go about a mile. When the trail begins descending leave the trail and head directly uphill to the right. Continue up until on the mellow East Ridge of Peak 5771. Follow this to the summit staying right of crest where it steepens. The little crag is along the way just a few feet below the summit. Alternatively one could hike the unmaintained trail along the open ridge from the PCT at Cathedral Pass.
