Description Suggest change

Stack Rock is an impressive granite tower that sits atop a peak easily visible from the city of Boise below. The tower’s granite is solid with small crystals in places and some buckets. There are few small cracks to use for climbing or holding protection. Slings (large ones) will come in handy as you can use them to set anchors in many spots. The South Wall has a couple of nice-looking cracks that are obvious potential climbing lines. Popular hiking and mountain biking area. Back in the 70’s used to be climbed and rappelled frequently. Now hiker’s frequently scramble to the top up the “regular route on the southeast side. Also used by search and rescue for training. It is extremly difficult to find and of the old routes that used to exist so any info that people may have would be extremely helpful. As for now everything is going to be entered as something new unless information can be obtained on the origins or name of things. (Idahoaclimbingguide.com)

Getting There Suggest change
